How do young people participate in the development of the cross-border region? Political, economic and daily issues

According to the latest data published by Eurostat, young people in Europe (15-24 years old) make up a little over 11% of the total population. This is an important element for European territories and especially for their development. Through this Greater Region Forum, we are looking at the relationship between young people and Europe, and more specifically their involvement in the construction of cross-border spaces in various economic, political and social dimensions.

The Greater Region, considered as a laboratory of European construction, offers many fields of observation on the practices of young people in cross-border. This forum will focus on the issues of cross-border mobility of young people in employment, in initial and vocational training, in their civic practices in cross-border territories. How do young people appropriate their cross-border territory? How do they project themselves in these territories? Last but not least, it considered the role of young people in social and economic policies, first of all in cross-border areas (development of cross-border training, for example) and beyond in Europe.

The Greater Region Forum included testimonials from young people and a panel discussion with experts, actors from practice, researchers and young citizens.
