Cross-Border Labour and Education
The working group Cross-border Labour and Education was established in March 2015 in the context of the University of the Greater Region-Center for Border Studies. It consist of researchers from six universities of the Greater Region, working in different disciplines (geography, cultural and language studies, socio-economy…).
The objective of this working group is to focus on one of the specificities of the Greater Region : the cross-border Labour market, and to analyze the main challenges (ageing, migrations…) on education and labour through our different experiences and disciplines.
For this purpose, we use comparative case-studies (practices but also discourses), quantitative and qualitative empirical analyses. We promote knowledge transfer towards university, stakeholders, policy makers and society, mainly through conferences, workshops and publications.
