In this concluding lecture, the academic chairs and organizers of the series “Border Realities: Beyond Nature and Culture”, Lola Aubry and Anne-Laure Amilhat Szary, will reflect on the origins of their inquiry into this topic and the motivations that have guided it. They will examine the contributions of previous lectures, exploring their connections to their own research. Finally, they will outline future directions and ongoing projects, highlighting how this seminar has shaped their perspectives and research agenda.

Anne-Laure Amilhat Szary is a full professor at the Grenoble-Alpes University, in Pacte. She is a political geographer dedicated to border studies, and her comparative analysis of the border dynamics in Latin America and in Europe led her to formulate the notion of the "mobile border."
Lola Aubry is a postdoctoral researcher at the UniGR-Center for Border Studies at the University of Luxembourg. She has an interdisciplinary background in Political Studies, with a specialization in ethnographic approaches to the political and the spatial.
The lecture is part of the UniGR-CBS lecture series “Border Realities: Beyond Nature and Culture”.
