Review: UniGR-CBS Workshop on NNLT Mapping in the Greater Region
On May 18, 2026, a UniGR-CBS workshop on mapping and territorial monitoring in the context of No Net Land Take (NNLT) in the Greater Region was held at the University of Luxembourg. The hybrid event brought together representatives from research, public administration, GIS services, and practice.
The workshop built on the work of the first NNLT symposium, which took place in June 2023. The different data situations, methodological approaches and institutional frameworks in the field of land management that characterise the subregions of the Greater Region were already highlighted at that event. As part of this year's workshop, a qualitative analysis was carried out on NNLT-relevant indicators recorded in the Greater Region. These results were then discussed collectively to identify potential avenues for future cross-border cooperation.
The next step is to summarise the session and the event outcomes in a short report. The insights gained will also contribute to the ongoing work of the LATI project.
The workshop was supported by the University of the Greater Region as part of its funding for the development of interdisciplinary UniGR Centers of Expertise.
The UniGR-CBS would like to thank all participants for their valuable contributions.
